Understanding Burnout
Burnout is serious business.
Our culture has normalized burnout. We believe it’s normal to burn out and often we expect we’ll burn out again in the future.
For some people, burning out is the ONLY way they access compassion and care for themselves. Some people get very sick before they go to the doctor. They don’t let themselves rest unless they are fully unwell.
But they never had to get there in the first place.
As empaths, it’s often easiest for us to care for others. This is a superpower, but it’s super damaging to US in the longterm without the proper self-care.
It's time to claim that superpower in a balanced way and leave the burnout behind.
